In the week 16 report of influenza activity on campuses in the College Health Surveillance Network, 12 of 13 schools report 1 or more influenza-like illness cases. Four schools in the Northeast, one in the South, and two in the Midwest region had a percentage of cases that crossed the threshold of a CDC defined outbreak. At least one school in each region had a reported case.
The graphic above shows ILI visits, both as an absolute number and as a percent of total primary care visits; the table below shows the data for each reporting school and totals by Census Region.
Please note that no data were collected between the weeks of Dec. 13 and Jan. 17, due to most schools being on winter break.
